Forgotten Chances Animal Rescue (F.C.A.R.) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of animals. We are comprised of a network of caring people with a grassroots approach working towards a world where no animal is neglected, abused, or homeless.
F.C.A.R is dedicated to helping low income pet owners and their pets to remain together. We provide referrals to outside sources such as low cost/free spay neuter clinics, low cost vet clinics, low cost vaccine clinics, and pet food pantries. In addition we hold a day of charity event in low income areas where we distribute pet food and supplies.
F.C.A.R. rescues animals of all ages from unsafe environments as well as those who are abandoned or surrendered. Central to our mission is to ensure that all animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. Dogs and cats are placed into responsible loving foster homes to be socialized until they can be placed in a safe, permanent home.
F.C.A.R. invests time and energy into the raising of awareness, education, and advocacy on behalf of neglected, surrendered, and abandoned animals. Included in our mission is to make the public aware of the myriad of problems resulting from backyard breeding, puppy mills, and the cruel and inhumane practice of dog baiting and dog fighting. Specifically, we are committed to advocating and educating about dogs categorized as bully breed mixes that suffer an undeserved negative image which results in them facing unwarranted and unjust prejudice.
Forgotten Chances Animal Rescue wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.
